Calling all Guild Members

We would like to get some more work done on the blog banner - please remember to email some photographs through that we can make a selection to use on the blog banner.  We are intending that the photos along the top are changed to:-

  • Spinning
  • Weaving
  • Dyeing
  • Felting
  • Knitting
  • Crochet

and therefore would love a selection of photos to suit these headings

If you want to be able to contribute to the blog by making an entry you need to email using the Guild email address or using the 'contact us' link on the blog and either Rita or myself will forward you an email link giving you permissions to make blog entries.

Remember this is a Guild blog and as many member as possible making contributions make it worthwhile and more informative.

Jo's Challenge - Gathering, November 13th

Jo's Challenge

Entries for 'Jo's Challenge' will be displayed at our Gathering in November, and all who attend will be able to vote on the winner. There are three prizes for the entries which get the most votes. Prizes are vouchers to spend with our suppliers on the day.

This was a tough challenge and one which encouraged us to push our boundaries. We used as inspiration a craft object (non-textile) and made a textile piece. It will be exciting to see what members have created.
Funds raised will be sent to Borders Forest Trust for their 'ground-breaking' project recreating the original wildwood in the Southern Uplands near Moffat and at the Devil's Beeftub.
